4JB1 92 Mu Alternator || Window switches

Postby Kangaroo22 » Thu Jul 16, 2015 9:57 pm

Hey everyone,
I have a 4JB1 92 Mu 2.8LT Auto and I'm looking for a couple of parts;

--- A compatabile alternator (I think I bought a rodeo one off ebay cheap for 4JB1 (1 year ago) but they must be different as the Vacuum Pump doesn't hold vacuum.) Unless it's broken, idk my brakes have always been bad. So I need to know for 100% that they are compatible because I can't keep buying useless alternators. xD

---- Window switches, (Master and passenger) Flimsy pieces of crap the window switches are, I've fixed it a million times but it's no more fixable.. HAHA

If anyone has got either of these things or knows where I can get them, I would much appreciate it.
Thanks

Are your brakes always bad or is the problem only when you start your car. I fitted an additional non return valve in the hose to the brake servo on mine and it made mine much better. The non return valve just came from some unknown car at the wreckers

When my car is off there isn't any vacuum assist and the brakes are really bad (I got 4 new pads and rotors), they when i turn it on there's some, but if I push the brake repeatedly (2+ within 5 seconds-ish) they go hard and don't work. Additional one way valve, ok cheers mate I'll look into that.

diesel brakes are always an issue like that but normally you should get 4 or 5 pushes not 2. In normal use thats not a problem.
My money is still on a vacume leak not a faulty vac pump although I have seen lower capacity pumps ( I had one on my old bighorn and it was ok)

Hitachi Ltd.

My brakes are definately alot better but he reckons they are glazed and may need machining and new pads, but I'll see how we go.

Thanks for your input, I'm still looking for window switches if anyone knows where i can get?
