I've got a 3.0L Tdi '00 and wanted to diagnose it, used an ELM327 device and was not able to connect to the vehicle. Can anyone tell me which protocol my trooper uses? engine name is 4xj1 if I'm not mistaken.

Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
