These pictures are 3 or 4 years old but only just sent to me. What you cant see is the take has about a 20 to 30 degree upward gradient and 1 second before the photo was taken there were a dozen people standing where the front wheel is. I ended up there because I hit a bump badly and lurched left and over corrected right. If it had gone over it would of been 3 rolls to the bottom at least. This is one of the exits from the rutts track in the Akatarawa forest. I didnt know these photos had been taken. I thought everyone was too busy running

I asked one person that owned a Mu at the time how close I had got to him. He told me he had put his hand on my bonnet.

theres a little more than extended shackles going on in that picture?
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
