###2002 wizard petrol v6###

Postby deeppurple » Wed Oct 14, 2009 8:36 pm

Hey guys i was on the old board nice to talk again.
I am looking at a 2002 petrol wizard. What are your thoughts?
My main concern is fuel economy compared to my 1996 diesel.
Also are they they reliable etc?
My ,96 wizard is a bloody amazing thing which just goes and goes (once i stopped the turbo falling off!)
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Cheers

is it a 3.2 or 3.5 v6
Ecconomy isnt too bad considering its a fairly large 4wd. If you drive frugally 20mpg is achievable. Pretty reliable but watch for cracked heads and noisy tappets. The tappets are easy to fix but a good excuse to get the price down
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Thanks for the reply mate.
It is a 3.2 litre.
It is a beautiful truck, i am replacing my '96 wizard diesel but you can't get late model diesels now
I am just unsure about buying a petrol one due to the high fuel bill.
