mu chassis failure

mu chassis failure

hi anybody had the chassis failure around the cast bracket on the chassis that connects the lower front suspension arm mine has completly riped off. i think i had seen a post that some had been fixed out west auckland anyone know how they fix the problem.

yes the chassis crack, any metal fab shop can fix but will need certifying

i wouldnt realy call it a crack more like a fist size hole were the bracket should be . if it just gets welded back on will it not just crack next to the new weld? thanks for the reply

that would only break if the chassis is rusted or you hit somthing extremely hard, you will have to get a new chassis or put a safari or hilux diff in the front and cert it, no easy option

I suspect there was a few seconds of airborne before it cracked?
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

iv owned my truck for over 10 years and have always checked around that bracket that had the recall but have never found cracks until the handling started to get worse and worse got a m8 to shake steering wheel while i checked it out the shit was movin al ova the show that shouldnt .their is no rust in rail no hard hit or flyin it hasnt been offroad in 7 years and only a few padock missions before that
