Hi Mr Revhead, normally I'd agree with you, but wreckers are paying crazy amounts for shagged 4x4 vehicles regardless of engine/trans condition. Apparently they do a front cut (Cut the vehicle in half leaving the engine/trans/loom intact) then they ship them to some 3rd world country and do a rebuild regardless of the existing condition. Apparently these rebuilt units sell for good money making the whole thing worthwhile for the wrecker.

The fact that it's low KMS is certainly a draw card to me.

Turnturn, I had considered removing the rubber dampner. No the body is not lifted, it's on stock wheels, it may well have never been in low range in NZ. Thanks for the heads up about shagged mounts.

Thanks for the fast responses guys :D

look at it on carjam. Low milage can be for reasons of tax evasion and not low milage at all.
My old ubs55 went for 1220 and they came down from Auckland to Wellington to pick it up Same wrecker was bidding on cars described as good condition. Mine ran out of room on the wof sheet

I checked it out on Carjam, the Kms look genuine the seller was the first NZ owner, purchased from the importer appx 12 years ago.

Thanks everyone for their input. So I bought the heap Isuzu, I started fixing/ modifying it straight away. I've got quite the to do list for it. I'll start a build / fix thread for it.

It only looks that good because it just got rained on :D
