Postby Grimmie82 » Fri Jan 08, 2016 8:55 am

Hey team, ive got a 96 2.8 diesel Mu which the fuel filter blocked up the primer I changed filter to a ryco filter pumped up etc etc. I did blow compressed air down the lines. Now after driving for a little while and happens more with about half a tank of fuel rather than full it runs out of diesel and I have to take the line off to the pump and prime runs for while then happens again I have changed filters twice put new hose clamps on. Please help

How much air pressure did you put into the tank? you have have blown the pickup off inside the tank, definatley sounds like its sucking air

I think the pickup is on the fuel gauge assembly which is screwed to the front of the tank. You will have to drain the tank first. Why did you blow the lines?
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
