alternator wiring ?

alternator wiring ?

if u read the topic i posted about starter motor wiring then you will learn about my landcruiser with savataged wiring, and the alternator wires have also been cut. so i took the alt to town and got i checked and it works good. now i need to work out how to wire it up and which wires goes were, there all the same colour but have dif coloured stripes and one wire is fatter than the rest.. is the diagram below correct ? cheers

can't tell from your diagraim but fat wire always goes to hot (pos) either on battery or starter, the other wires may be all the same color but stripes should be different colors, just match them up and you should be good to go. Wayne

Vehicle: 1998 Isuzu Rodeo,with a 2001,2.5 turbo diesel motor,5 speed,inter-cooler,turned up fuel,adjusted waste gate for 14 psi of boost,air bags under front end with torsion bars ,2.5 exhaust straight thru sidepipe no muffler.
1949 Dodge 2 1/2 ton pumper fire truck, 15,000 original miles, with a 1991 Cummins 5.9 diesel, turned up fuel, 5 speed trans, two speed rear, also added P/S, P/B.

yup fat goes to battery, thts that one sorted, cheers. but sadly there is nothing to match the wires up to because someone cut the wires out.... so i have to run new ones. can you tell me if the wires are going to the right place on the diagram if you presume the fat one is going to the battery ? cheers.

sorry, but I can't tell from the diagram, just about every manufacter is different, so you will need a wiring diagram for that vehicle, cheers, Wayne

better still a diagram for the alternator. If you hook it up wrong you can blow the diodes
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
