how do the 1996 frontera M7 go

Postby wombat » Fri Dec 11, 2009 11:58 am

i am probably going to buy a 1996 holden frontera M7, its going for about $2400 just south of sydney. its got 318,000kms, 5 speed manual, 4 cylinder Unleaded Multi-point injected 2.0L and is a hardtop ute. i think the price is pretty cheap, esp since the rego is till june 2010, but i am wondering if this type of car is famous for any problems. i don't expect to get much for the price, plus i could use it for spare parts for my 1994 mu, so i am just wondering why its so cheap.

thanks guys

There is not that much on a frontera that will fit the MU. Body is different as is the motor, gearbox, diff
sounds good for the price

im not sure if they are the same as the 3rd gen mu. i do need new cv joints and my bushes are ripped and torn. plus i could use the tyres as a road set, so i don't go through my bfg km2's so quickly. then i can also use the car to thrash around in, and not worry about body damage so much

A lot of modern 4wds did that. Really good idea when you have a flat in a bog

I had a 96 Frontera UK a few years ago, same as the old 20L cavalier engine very nice car, all the suspension is the same as a Trooper and the same as my LWB Frontera now.
a couple of pics, I miss that car, though the current one is a bit more practical.
