Yarn...they are great, interior is massive!! Its the first vehicle my old man has sat in that his head doesnt touch the roof!!
There is not one part that changes over from the TJ to the JK...totally re-engineered. Mine is 5speed auto and Common rail diesel 2.8. 130Kw and 460Nm and solid axles front and rear whoohoo. Dana 30 front (not 44
) and Dana 44 rear (even has cutout in the front lower mount for castor bolts to correct after a lift!!)
The roof comes off in 7 different configurations and then you have the soft top to pull up of it rains. Every aftermarket accessory that you could possibly imagine has already been designed and made for it.
It has 31" tyres and 33s will fit with no mods and 35s will fit with a basic 2"spring lift.
Im not looking for hardcore offroad, more a touring family rig (that I can still mud up) that I can hook the camper to and just go.
They have typical US build quality...most probs are with wiring in the future after good use(corrogations etc) they dont wrap or secure wiring the way the Japs do. So when I get some time I going to wrap and tape and zip all the looms I can find...oh and there are lots.
What other TD Auto Wagon could you purchase for $40K and still be this easy, comfortable and capable as a 4WD??
