Its always a good idea to avoid cutting if you can. That way you can put it back to original if you ever sold it. Im not familiar with that model but the wizard I had had a plastic tray under the radio that you could mount a cb in. Otherwise consider screwing it to the underside of the dash. Pick a spot where it isnt too obvious. Everyone that sees it will just think its a professional install as thats the way its been done in every commercial vehicle they have seen.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
