Snorkel install

Postby Playto » Tue Jan 19, 2021 8:40 am

Hi,

Have a 97 Bighorn Irmcher RS V6, wanting to install a cheap snorkel. Problem is that not sure on this but looking at the cheap kits you can buy they all seem to have the intake hole facing the passenger guard, however my air box inlet is on the engine fan side.

any tips or tricks on how to use the existing kits to fit, or recommended snorkel for my truck.

Thinking it would be easier to remove airbox and make a new hole on correct side.

Cheers
Paul

Can we have a photo of your setup please. Options might be a diesel airbox or some custom piping. My old ubs55 we had to weld a new intake pipe to the airbox but they had a steel airbox
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
