Hey dont know if this was someone from here but good effort haha wouldnt get me going in there on that side of the mountain.

Ive done both halves but a long time between. Did the Matamata side with Harry Vanlet who still turns up here from time to time He killed a wich on that trip. The view from the top is well worth the drive.
Did the KatiKati side a few years later. We cheated. 3 hours to the summit and 3 back on foot.
Harry has done the full trip in his swb bighorn but its not a road legal truck. Dont know if he still has it.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

he did well in a standard bighorn, have done it in my white truck, and done the whole thing in 9hrs in a suzuki 413 ute (not really a suzuki) He was sponsered by suzuki nz for winch challenge comps is an amazing track but is hard on trucks
