3 INCH DUMP PIPE ON UBS55 2.8ITD BIGHORN

Postby gomulletgo » Mon Mar 21, 2011 8:06 pm

Hi all,

I want to put a 3inch exhaust including dump pipe on my 2.8ITD ubs55 bighorn, has anyone done this without a body lift? Which filter housing setup did you use? Can anyone post up photos of the exhaust dump pipe route in the engine bay and around the oil filter, past the chassis rail etc?

Cheers :D

2.5 is enough for the 2.8 Not enough to be gained beyond that to justify the cost and hassle. The oil filter houseing from a 3.1 makes life easier.
My wagon is identical to yours and has 2.5 from the flex joint back and original dump pipe. It holds 14psi boost to 3800 revs and still above 10 when it hits the rev limiter but cant give exact figure as normally when treating the engine like that other things are quite busy
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
