Sweet
Will I get away with just removing intercooler, then unbolting dump pipe and manifold and pulling whole thing out with turbo attached?

Just undo dump pipe off turbo, leave manifold and turbo on the truck, you can get the flap out without removing the dump pipe if you really want, removing it doesnt do anything though

Cool cheers for the advice, I'm going to get on to it on Saturday..
When reinstalling, do you just use holts exhaust paste?

I got the sucker out without removing turbo+manifold, I had to remove the studs from the turbo and remove the oil filter. It still took a bit of jiggling..
I'm going to cut the spindle out tomorrow and put a plate over the hole. (using existing bolts to attach the plate)

A metal gasket came out of the turbo end can I reuse it? should I chuck some exhaust paste or liquid gasket on it?

Cheers

Yeah I ended up putting maniseal on it,
Cant believe the difference just taking that spindle out made.. the engine revs free-er and the turbo seems to spool up quicker..
Will be interesting to see if upsizing the final section of pipe will make a noticeable difference..

Cheers for your help guys..

Unless you are a reasonable welder that makes Stardogs price quite reasonable. 90 in parts and 140 in labour to make it and sell it. They will not be mass produced
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

The company I bought it off make 2 types of dump pipes 1 for the downward back facing oil filter and the other 1 for the normal up facing oil filter on the 2.8 engines.
They are made very well indeed I must say I haven't got round to fitting the dump pipe but will get it done soon I've just had to many things happening at the moment.
See how I pull up tomorrow after the grand final tonight go the storm i was a bit seedy this morning after western bulldogs beat the swans yesterday great to see that happening I was wrapped and im not even a bulldogs supporter.

I would double check if the dump pipe bolts up to the turbo on a 95 model if I remember they are for 97-98 onwards I found this out when I was going to fit mine the bolt holes and flange are different.
