4JG2 ENGINE WIRING PIN OUT

Postby arsnik » Tue May 18, 2010 6:07 pm

HI FOR THOSE PUTTING 4GJ2'S INTO OHTER WAGONS HERE IS A PIN OUT TO HELP IT ALONG

WHEN I BOUGHT THE LAST ENGINE I GOT THE ENGINE LOOM CUT AS FAR BACK FROM PLUG INTO THE HARNESS AS POSSIBLE SO I HAD HEAPS OF ROOM TO JOINT TO MY CAB WIRING AND A ONE PLUG REMOVAL ENGINE! THIS IS MAINLY FOR ME WHILST I STILL CAN REMEMBER IT,

BIG WHITE BLUE = GLOW PLUG RAIL

BIG BLACK WHITE = STARTER

GREEN BLACK = AIR CON

WHITE YELLOW = 12V IGN TO I/P

YELLOW RED = REV COUNTER
YELLOW GREEN = REV COUNTER

YELLOW PURPLE = TO TEMP GAUGE

YELLOW BLUE = OIL LIGHT
BLUE SILVER DOT = OIL GAUGE

YELLOW SILVER DOT = TEMP FROM PLUG ON THERMO HOUSING
BLACK YELLOW = TEMP

BLUE YELLOW = TEMP FROM PLUG ON THERMO HOUSING
WHITE YELLOW = TEMP NOTE THIS IS TEED IN ON SAME WIRE TO I/P

YELLOW BLACK = TEMP

GREEN YELLOW = TPS
GREEN ORANGE = TPS
GREEN SILVER DOT = TPS

I DIDNT USE ANY TPS, ONLY 1 TEMP WIRE [ YELLOW PURPLE ] WORKED ON HILUX, ONLY HAS OIL LIGHT BUT MIGHT HAVE THEM THE WRONG WAY ROUND , AN THE REV COUNTER GOES CARZY AFTER 3200RPM DUE TO THE PULSE OF A ISUZU PUMP TO HILUX REV COUNTER, NEEDS SWAPPING OVER.
interested into why people lift mu's, I have owned a few and fitted 33's to them all, some 12.5 some 13.5. I have never had a problem with rubbing / clearnace. My friends with 35s have a bit of lift but why the million threads about lifting your mu?????

Hi,
I am interested in your engine swap in to your Toyota, I am currently busy with a land Rover Hybrid and am considering the Isuzu 4jg2 as the replacement engine. How has the engine run? HAs it got enough umf etc....

You listed the pin plug ins for the engine, did the 4jg2 engine you used have a ecu? if so, how did you get around it or did you purchase one, and if so where from?

Sorry for all the questions, but I would like to get as much info before I splash out on the motor.
Many Thanks
TIm

no mechanically controlled so only really need one wire to injector pump and a big oen to the strter an your away/.

i have put a few extra wires in for fusews relays glowplugs alternator etc
im not genious and found it fairly simple, would of been nicer to start with a diesel then itsdead easy.
