problems with oil pressure

has any one had any problems with there oil pressure as i have broken two turbos ? im thinking its because the oil pressure.... it doesnt seem to be lubricating the the turbo enough.

What does the oil gauge read while driving ?
Do you let the turbo cool down before turning it off ?

it reads round 4 kg cm2 ive changed the oil and filter it seemed to have fix the oil problem but not to sure unil i get a new turbo as ive blowen two turbos in 2 weekends

and yers i do let the turbo cool down everytime the turbo time is set for a minute because i dont have a intercooler

would be checking the lines to the turbo. maybe you have blocked hose.. not getting enough flow to the turbo.

Loosen the oil line to the turbo while the motor is running and see if your getting oil to it
I live in my own little world, but its OK they know me here.

1949 Dodge 2 1/2 ton pumper fire truck, 15,000 original miles, with a 1991 Cummins 5.9 diesel, turned up fuel, 5 speed trans, two speed rear, also added P/S, P/B.

Also check the drain hose back to the sump.
Ive heard of 2 things that can starve the oil to the turbo. One is either of these 2 hoses blocked. Interestingly the common cause of these hoses blocking is the use of an oil flush which loosens crud inside the engine that ends up here. The other is ecxess blow-by pressurising the drain line
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

changed oil a couple off times seems to have picked up the oil pressure. Just waiting for the new turbo to see how it goes. thanks guys for the help

ive got the mu running now after finding alot of crap in the oil

What was in the oil? It might be a clue
