Fast idle plumbing

Postby BrokenMu » Sun Sep 12, 2010 8:39 am

I've tried searching the forum and come up with nothing.

Just wanting to know where to plumb the 'fast idle actuator' on the fuel pump to.

Kind regards
Michael

it just tees into the vacuum line at the alternator.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

The vac line runs to the air con solenoid then back to the actuator on the pump so when you turn the air con on it idles up the motor

Where do i find the aircon solenoid?

I am removing the EGR gear. Will removing all those little hoses in the back left of the engine bay affect all of this?

I have just taken mine out, egr that is, I removed both hoses coming back form the egr to the solenoids on the drivers side wheel arch and blocked off the hose that comes to them. I need to trace this vaccum hose back to find the tee. I haven't checked if the fast idle still works that is tomorrows job. The truck seems to be more responsive and for some reason runs better cold, no more stutter
