Cleaning oil cooler/filter housing

Postby BrokenMu » Mon Nov 29, 2010 5:10 pm

G'day all

Will be getting my new 3" exhaust this Friday and that means swapping my oil filter housing for a 3.1ltr version.

I have an oil filter housing off of a 4JG2, but I do want to give it a clean up before installing it.

Would it be safe to give it a bath in diesel or is there any other method that anyone can shed some light on?

Kind regards
Michael

I would bung up the water hose outlets and clean with degreaser or petrol
