2.8l fuel pump swap with 3.1l fuel pump

is it possible to swap a fuel pump off a 3.1l mu onto a 2.8l mu... are they the same pump? and interchangable?

No, the delivery valves and fuel rates will all be different than the 2.8. One if for direct injection and the other indirect injection....completely different injection pressures and delivery rates.
Could possible be converted over if you want a fuel injection specialist to match and test it though.

bugger... im wrecking a 3.1 atm and was hoping i could just swap them over but obviously not
