Has anyone got some pictures of the cut out they did when fitting their bonnet scoop please? Also what did you do with the braces you cut through to thanks?

If i had one, i would install one hahaha no just make sure of your mesurements and mark it out with masking tape. I fittet one to a highly modified suzuki siera, and I would leave the braces intact as well

Thanks nighthawk, am still waiting for the scoop, so as I can see how it will fit. Hoping to be able to cut away some of the braces and leave it still in tacked. I have removed the insulation and the braces looked to be tacked in a lot of places.

Ok the hole is cut in the bonnet and the scoop is sitting in place, now waiting for some dry weather to paint the scoop. Will take a photo when it's all finished.

I say measure 3 times cut once. lay down some masking tape where your going to cut on the top of your bonnet so you don't scratch it and use a fine toothed chainsaw!!!!

Oh no sorry, the chainsaw was used on the ford. I think you would be better off using a fine cutting disk or a nibbler. Just take it slow.

Sorry to jump in Lads,
When I cut mine out I cut it slightly smaller (bout a inch all round) then checked is was sweet with the intercooler underneath. Lucky I did as it was only 1/2" left at the back of the bonnet. I know it's cutting the hole twice but guaranteed to not overshoot your intercooler or not cut air off to it. Hope this helps.
If it wasn't for the voices I wouldn't know what to do..
What's that, yes of course we can get up this hill

On a similar note, is it possible to get a bigger (ie. higher) scoop for the BigHorn/Rodeo/MU (with same mount points as the BigHorn/Rodeo) to collect more air onto the top-mount intercooler?
