good day to everyone! i would like to ask if what is the function of something like valve mounted in my exhaust line before the muffler of my isuzu mu? thanks for your kindly answer i would appreciate it.

From other posts on here its a cold start mechanism

I have talked to a diesel mechanic about that and they are more problems than they are worth. They tend to jam a lot you can just remove it and it will run fine or better if it is jammed
