intercooler piping?

Postby Smiley » Mon Sep 12, 2011 3:55 pm

So i did a test fit on my 3.1 T/D Isuzu mu with the inter cooler off the 3.1 bighorn and as yous will know it not a direct line up just wondering what people have used to pipe it and where they have got it from as i have searched at repco and a performance shop and found nothing also asked around and no one has any ideas. Your answers greatly appreciated thanks

I roughly modified the original hoses from the throttle body, but its not perfect and I do have a noticeable boost leak

yup you should be able to rotate it, makes it easier to use the factory hose and its not on a wierd angle. if you rotate it i may have a factory pipin from turb to cooler lyin round

i just got a bighorn intercooler piping and scoop, update me on what you do to make yours fit I'll do the same, looks like egr needs to go, and either rotate the turbo outlet or find something to fit, the two angles

yup you can rotate the 3.1, you need to make a custom bracket for the wastegate type thingy, there is a thread that has a picture with what I had done, just a couple of tabs wielded on and a couple of holes tapped.
