injector timing

injector timing

Hi guys need to know the injector timing as in firing order, motor 4jb1t.
changing motor need to figure out where the pipes go.

i had solid pipes on mine that would only fit one way.
as for firing order i have no idea

Thanks for that but i have tried that and there is knocking sound an running ruff i reckon injector pipes are wrong btu unsure any other surgestions..............lilbear

if the order wasnt right it wouldnt run at all. Try retarding it a little
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

The firing order is 1-3-4-2, when standing in front of engine the injection pump rotates CLOCKWISE. When viewing the pump from the back, looking at the four injector pipe outlets, No 1 is top left ( upper pair, the one furtherest away from the engine block) lower left, = No 3, lower right ( closest to block ) = No 4, upper right = No 2.

and if the engines runs a gear type pump(aluminium cover instead of plastic)it tuns anti clock wise

Hey thanks guys all info is good the motor is gear driven so does that mean the pipe order is reversed?
