2 ways.
1 Search here for other postst on k&N filters. There is a part number for a drop in filter that is easy peasy but pricy. My bighorn was done this way except I used a Unifilter instead of K&N
2 mounting a pod filter inside the airbox. Cheaper and allows you to use k&n clones so even cheaper again. You will need to mount an adapter to the lid of the airbox. My wizard is done this way
3 but not recommended Mount the pod straight on the pipework. Has been done before on road only vehicles and works ok but no way to seal off road. Also all the good books say you need a certan volume of air between the turbo and the filter
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
