If you look through the old forum, we had a thread about it in there. Basically you inject a small amount of LPG in just before the turbo and it gives you heaps more power, like NOS in a petrol motor. You only want it going some of the time or else it will probably blow the top off your motor. The best way to hook it up is to have a soluniod valve hooked up to either the boost pressure or to your accelerator. When the boost gets above a set level, or you push the pedal past a set point the valve opens. If you want to do it legally then there is alot in it, as you have to mount the LPG tank outside of the vechile somewhere, and then the certifing of the system itself.

A hotter and more complete burn. So better for the environment as well as an increase in performance. Quite alot of debate on whether it can damage your motor, possibly due to dodgy backyard fittings. Very expensive to set up under the legal channels, with certification etc. We spoke to a dynotune mate in Oz in the offroad racing scene, were advised the gains in the 2.8 Isuzus were not huge, they had done a couple (don't know about the 3.1) and to get a better bang for our buck with tuning, increasing boost, fuel etc.

I am quite interested in this, and would definitely be onto it if I had some extra money.

I liked the Eco-Shot system, which didn't have a computer management system, it just measured the boost pressure and injected more lpg before the turbo accordingly.

A full kit from Aus not including the tank was around $1000 from memory.

Pity they don't do a government rebate in NZ, like in Aus.

From an artical in one of the Aussi 4wd mags a few years ago adding 5% lpg could gain about 5% power and 10% economy. 20% lpg does 30% less diesel but you have to still buy the lpg and a useful power increase. This was considered max for automotive but some industrial engines are running 95% lpg where the diesel is only there to start the combustion.
The power is worth having but 3 years ago the payback on economy gain was about 120000km. Its worse in NZ as the fuel tax is paid on mileage for diesel but not lpg so you pay twice for the lpg part
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

I think if you have the time, money and the skills to play around with it then you will definatley get some gains out of it.
