There is no engine brake! This is a cold start device and can be left off in all but the coldest parts of NZ and even then its not that usefull.
If they are both either electronic or non electronic engines you can get away with changing nothing from the engine side but if they not both the same trans there are some extra sensors to worry about.
Have a good look at both engines before you start and if all makes sence go for it.

How many times has Geeves told us that the cold start butterfly isnt an engine brake :roll: And I dont even own a deisel :lol:

One diesel engineer told me I shouldn't have removed the cold-start flap as I could have made it into an engine brake.

He swore by engine brakes, but I'm not sure how complex it would have been to set it up...

Yes its just like a choke on a petrol engine lol

Where is the flap located?.
I was at the shop today and had a look in the cast turbo dump pipe (thats where I thought it was) and cant see it there..........

On the 3.1 its furthur down the pipe. Almost under the driver
