Use the gearbox in the Luv as well. It may be only a 4 speed but the c223 engine wont have the grunt to push a 5th gear.
The trooper is heavier than the ute
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Saw a ute the same as mine the other day with a 2.3diesel in it -felt sorry for him

The turbo version actually goes quite well but the non turbo would be scared of hills. I wouldnt own one in Taranaki
