Anyone know if a 3.1 intercooler will fit a 2.5?

It should as long as you can rotate the compressor housing on the turbo, it looks the same as the 2.8...

the 3.1 intercooler is a bit smaller than the 2.8 one, they will both fit if you want to make them!!!
Oh how i miss my mu, the lux is just not the same :(

It should fit but since you will have trouble getting one (hardly any 4jg2 engines in USA) you might be better looking for a different brand intercooler and making the pipework to fit. Pajero/monterio intercoolers work well and are easy to get as the rest of the truck falls apart around the intercooler.
