oil pressure switch

Postby Powertruck31T » Mon Aug 03, 2015 12:42 pm

Hey just wondering if someone can help me. The oil gauge on the dash has stopped working. I've just recently built a new engine and converted it to mechanical pump. The gauge has stopped working after the engine swap. I'm still using the original sender unit off the old motor so everything should be the same.
has anyone got a wiring diagram for this or can shed some light?
You cant get the wires mixed up on this as they have 2 different plugs

damaged wire?
try taking the wire off and earthing it. That should max the guage
Other option of course is that it is working and telling the truth

Hey Geeves i took the wire of the sender and earthed it to the block and also the sender itself just to make sure i didnt have a bad earth and straight away the gauge went to maximum. The problem must be the sender itself. Where is the best place to get a new one genuine Isuzu?
