Cranking Time

Postby johnhb » Thu Jan 21, 2016 10:43 am

hi
My new MU 99 takes far more cranking then my 94 to start. its not rough running when it starts, just longer cranking. Is that normal? If it was bad glow plugs would it start roughly?

4jx1 engine?
these have to build up oil pressure in the fuel rail before the computer lets it start. 20 seconds is normal
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
