Exhaust Manifold

96 Bighorn plaisir 3.1 4JG2

Exhaust manifold has a crack, screams when RPM's are over 2000. Have bought a used manifold it's straight but just wondering if it is REQUIRED to get it machined?
I'd think it would be better that what is currently on the engine.

Totally unrelated but saves making new topic - Anyone know where I could get a snorkel installed in Rotorua
