Has anyone fitted a vnt to a 4jb1? I have a gt2260v and a gtb1756vk i can use. At what stage will it start running out of fuel? If i can have near 400nm ill be happy
I take it your question is aimed only at the erudite elite of this list How about translating those acronyms into English for the rest of us. I have a 4JB1 but wouldn't know which end to look at for those other bits and pieces. Don't leave us plebeians in ignorance please.
Are the turbos normal wastegate operated or variable vain? plunger is 10mm no idea on injectors, boost doesnt kill diesels fuel does, i have run 25psi in a 4jb1 factory turbo engine
the gt2260v is vgt ive looked into doing a similar setup notx with this particular turbo but similar. the problem you need to overcome is controlling the vgt mecanisim you can either use vaccuum or electronically control them. the theory behind vgt is good minimal lag with a variable a/r ratio allows the engine to breathe better without choking. would have to re calibrate the fuel system as you would have more air available earlier in the rev range which would help drive gets down
