Postby Colinjrose » Sun Aug 27, 2017 1:58 pm

Hi all. Can anyone help me work out what year my engine is.
I have a 98 Bighorn which has had the 4jx1 replaced with a 4jg2 with mechanical injection.
Engine number is 620079.

Cheers any help i would be grateful for

a photo might help but why this question. If its a fully mechanical 4jg2 the engine is from a pre 95 bighorn or pre 97 wizard (not intercooled from factory) or similar Mu

It has an intercooler.
So timing belt has slipped , bending all the push rods 1x broken rocker and ruining the head.
I was wondering if maybe it had the wrong belt on it.
Also with others experiences ,what are the chances of cam and lifter damage?
