4JG2 parts on 4JB1?

Postby wgripp » Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:18 am

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have the 2.8 Turbo Diesel. I'm swapping out the to the clutch setup from the 3.1 Turbo Diesel.

Since I'll have a bigger flywheel (attached to the back of the crankshaft), will I also need the crankshaft damper pulley (attached to the front of the crankshaft) from the 3.1 to keep the crankshaft balanced?

I assume the damper pulley for the 3.1 is larger to balance the bigger flywheel.

This will probably mean I need to purchase new belts as well. Are there any other parts I'll need to swap out?

Thanks!
Bill

Nope just bolt the 3.1 flywheel on and abuse it
