I agree with the above. More boost (from a turbo, 15psi) more fuel and advanced timing. Definately intercool. Need 2.5" exhaust, this helps keep the engine cool.
If your 4jg2 has an electronic controlled fuel pump you will need to find someone , ie a diesel pump repair, modification shop, to modify the governer on the fuel pump. I would suggest looking for someone who modifies Nissan TD42 pumps for the winch challenge guys.
If you have a mechanical controlled fuel pump most competent diesel mechanics can do it, or you can do it yourself if you are confident enough.
Remember the 4jg2 hates getting hot. It will punish you big time if you get it too hot, says the voice of experience, cracking heads and liners. More fuel, more boost equals more heat so keep an eye on the temp gauge.
As an aside, one of my mates is one of the go to guys for Nissan TD42 engines/pumps and top three winch challenge competitor here in NZ. He experimented with superchatging a Nissan TD42 a few years ago and gave up and went back to a turbo setup.
