I think the 33's are 11.5 or 12.5 wide, the guy lost me a couple of times as he seemed to be changing numbers or I just wasn't following him very well

Alrighty just found this on trademe

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Wheels-tyres/4x4/auction-313103251.htm

looks like an awesome deal compared to what the local guys were after. So I will need to get new rims to fit these onto, if these guys rim prices are insane do you have recommendations about where to get rims? What offset do I need? I have learnt a huge amount about tires etc this last couple of weeks but buying the wrong offset wheels seems like it would be an easy mistake to make.

RIght the body lift kit has turned up - just bushes, apparently no bolts. 10 bushes in all for 103.50. Can anyone give me any clues as to what bolts I need, are the readily available? I don't want to have to undo the body and then borrow the mrs' car to drive into town, would rather replace as I went.

The shocks and springs have also arrived and wheels/tires are about 10 days away and I pick up a intercooler and bonnet scoop this afternoon ... now I have to wait till I can afford snorkle, pod air filter, egt gauge, boost controller, boost gauge, and roof rack cross bars etc ... sigh

6x 10mm x 1.25 grade 8.8 bolts

For up to a 2” body lift the fan shroud needs to be cut and the gear sticks should be bent so the boot stays in place or a spacer put under the gearbox mount
For above a 2” body lift steering shaft, gear sticks needs to be lengthened, break & clutch lines may need to be replaced or moved, radiator & shroud need to be lowered

The wizard should be the same as the BIGHORN-JACKAROO lwb
The bolts will need to be 50mm longer than standard

I will pick up the bushes today, I will not be happy if he has ordered the wrong kit when I gave him chasis number and everything else then he made me wait 10 days for it to turn up and then I had to call him to see if it had arrived.

I will be nice and calm when I drop in to see him this afternoon, nice and calm (todays mantra)

If I decide to keep Annies Wizard in stead of the MU I am going to just put a set of air bags in the back. Adjust for load when towing, adjust height when off roading and adjust for comfort when on the highway.

The rear efs springs were only 310NZ, it was 1050 all up for the 4 shocks and rear springs all lifted so pretty happy with that after the first quote I got - 900+ for springs alone

He climbed under the truck and could only find 5 on each side, hopefully I get time to pull things apart tomorrow and get the replacement bolts.

They should be the same bolts needed as the MU lift.

All the tire guys in town said that couldn't be done ... oh well the rims and tires are on their way on monday, when i have more money I might look at a second set of tires on the stock 16's

Right an update...

Shocks are in
Rear Springs are in
Body lift is in - Thought the bottom radiator hose was not going to stretch but it made it
Tires are on ....
Replaced all 4 cv boots

Problems,

Gear shift is hard to get in and out of park
Tires rub guards with slight turn - bugger

I was hoping to drive down to the local mechanic and get him to help with the torsion bars as it looks like hard work. I have worked out that it is 27mm, there is not enough room to get a strong bar on there so will have to go get a ring spanner tommorrow - any tips with this?

I am guessing there is some kind of adjustment to allow relocating the gear selector?

Truck looks huge will post pics once I get it all sorted

Job all done thanks for your help guys, some pictures here to prove I have actually done something

TruckBefore.jpg

Trucktires.jpg

TruckShocks.jpg

TruckHalfwayFront.jpg

TruckHalfwayRear.jpg

TruckFinished.jpg

03102010(001).jpg

Finished

Start Heights - from ground to bottom edge of guard
Left Front 840mm
Right Front 840mm
Left Rear 860mm
Right Rear 850mm

Finished heights
Left Front 1003mm
Right Front 1000mm
Left Rear 1010mm
Right Rear 1015mm

The fronts were higher than that - around 1020mm but dropped down after a drive, I am still getting some rubbing on the back of the guard, especially in reverse for some reason. I might have to jack up a bit more on the torsion bars, hopefullly the wheel alignment that I will try to get tomorrow will make a difference as well.
