That would depend on the wheels. You need at least the thickness of the stud protruding past the rim. So at least 12mm of stud.

Dont do it. The studs are not designed for a spacer. I know your rules are different but in New Zealand the only spacers allowed are the type that one side bolts to the hub and the other bolts to the wheel. Even these need an engineers cert

i am trying to acheive a more boxy look I have the standard 15"7' rims on and thinking of having a 2" lift and maybe fixing some larger 16"x8' 0r 16"x9' so I guessed fixing some spacers can make it look better .

If you use toyota landcruser wheels they sit further out than MU wheels

I have faced the same problem before in my MU...
Thanks

I got a set of 33cm spacers from a friend the bolt on type and a set of new 15x8 rims and 31x10.5 general grabber AT2 ,I was wondering if there would be any problems with the steering components or handling at speed or some other pros and cons I should think about before I fit them on, thanks

Do you have any rules regarding tyres/rims/offset in your country?

I'm running -25mm offset 15x8 rims, these make the tyres stick out 2 inches past the wheel arches on my rodeo so had to make bunnings flares. Works well without the need for spacers.

Yes all wheel spacers are ileagal, and you are not alowed more than 25mm (I think??) change in track, no rims wider than 8in, no more than 15mm change in roling diameter... the list goes on, but most people ignore it as it is ridiculous.

In NZ bolt through spacers not allowed but spacers that bolt to the hub with the wheel bolted to the spacer are allowed with low volume certification. In practice I doubt any certifier will pass that type of spacer without a very good reason to use it

don't think we have any rules here regarding spacers that i know of, my rims have 0 offset, can't afford to buy new ones so i thought spacers will do the job, just thinking on the handling of the vehicle on the road at speed, have fitted a pair of calmini extended shackles about 2" height

A few years ago a stock car lost a wheel mid race. It cleared a fence and killed a young girl. The inquest put the blame on the wheel spacers and they have been outlawed ever since
