Factory All the others are too stiff
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

I have read on american sites that some use the 2wd bars in their 4wd trucks as they are a tad softer

I would have thought that 2wd torsion bars might not be strong enough for 4wding. Having said that you would have to be pushing pretty hard to put them under that sort of pressure.

the only torsion bar i ever seen snap was cos of a minute defect, a hairline crack 1cm long n about 1mil deep. probably came out of the factory that way. though its worth noting that even with this defect it took it a rough-as-guts off-road goat-track on high tension/fully wound up for it to give way

dont know if the rodeo ones are the same as the Mu Only a small difference in front weight so doubt there is any difference

stiffer than factory. Will give better road handling but you will feel every bump.
Only reason to fit anything other than original is if you have fitted a heavy winch or if you want to build a road racer.

I think there is a couple of different lengths of torsion bars, you would have to find the right ones,
I'm not sure if they would be any softer as the TF ute is designed to have a 1 tonne payload.
In any case they are 1000mm long in the TF 4x4

A possible solution from the states: http://www.swayaway.net/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=42

Their bars list at 39.312 inches long, I believe is 1 mtr. They have #1556/24mm & #1566/27mm diameter bars in their "bargain pit" (read closeout), currently for $120.00 USD per pair, before shipping, if this helps!
