If they have sagged then why not just adjust the ride height back to where you want it?
Has it just sagged so much that it is hitting the rubber bump stops and giving the impression of a firmer ride?
I would think that it would be unusual for a spring to get firmer with age.
How are your shock absorbers?
Are you comparing your Mu's ride to that of a later model (after 93-94ish)? The earlier Mu's have a firmer ride than later ones. Their torsion bars are shorter and bigger diameter giving a higher spring rate.
