AXLE/DIFF DROP BRACKETS TF RODEO

Postby slimjim » Mon Aug 15, 2011 6:10 pm

Hey all,

I just purchased a pair of 40mm axle/diff drop brackets and 7mm ball joint spacers from Darlington offroad. I have to sell them as i bought another car and have to sell the TF Rodeo. They have never been used and still in package that arrived from the US. Selling for what i paid $350.

These brackets will require you modifying your centre cross member 40mm lower to allow for the diff lowering. The process raises the height of the vehicle 40mm without cranking up the torsion bars, keeping CV joints flatter for a softer more comfortable ride.

I have attached a photo of the brackets, (the crossmember is not included). This is the photo from Darlington offroad.

Any interest please contact me on 0402869994 or post me back.... cheers

Hey mate, I sent you a text the other day and you called back. Sorry I couldn't answer, been flat out at uni lately. I am interested, but I would need the cross member. If you have a contact for DOR that I could use to get one, or if anyone could tell me how to modify mine then ill buy them off of you.

Also if anyone could explain how dropping the diff lifts the car that would be much appreciated, didnt think that was how it works.

Cheers, Shatts4

My understanding is that these don't raise the vehicle height, they just lower the front diff assembly to improve the CV angle, of a vehicle that has had the front torsion bars wound up.

Thanks turnturn. Any idea how to modify the cross member? I'm not too handy with the tools, would buying be the better option?

The cross member mentioned above is just a bolt in brace between the chassis rails that runs under the diff/engine.
I'm not sure if modifying this would require certification (in NZ) or not. I've no idea about the rules and regulations in Australia.
Modifying would just be a case of removing the obstructive part of the cross member and fabricating suitable replacements.
