Hard question
If its factory its IFS up front with torsion bars like yours. Rear should be live axle with leaf springs to about 98 then coils like yours. There are very minor body changes in 98 as well but they might not line up in the US model so cant be sure on the detail.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

i wouldve liked to do this to mine but ive heard it cant be done lowering the rodeo is this true?

If you are only looking for a small drop then you can adjust the torsions down and either fit lowering blocks (rear leaf springs?) or have the springs reset to match. Also fitting low profile tyres to your current rims will lower it as well although that also lowers the gearing. Its still a full chassis SUV so will still handle more like a bucket of bolts than a sports car but if its just looks your after why not

We also have a Mu Ute (Black) zipping round Ch-Ch on low profiles and dropped to within a nats scratchies of the ground.

HA HA its bloody funny watching him try to get over speed humps I tell ya.

Mines a 98 Rodeo and it has bars in the front and coils in the rear
I live in my own little world, but its OK they know me here.

Vehicle: 1998 Isuzu Rodeo,with a 2001,2.5 turbo diesel motor,5 speed,inter-cooler,turned up fuel,adjusted waste gate for 14 psi of boost,air bags under front end with torsion bars ,2.5 exhaust straight thru sidepipe no muffler.
1949 Dodge 2 1/2 ton pumper fire truck, 15,000 original miles, with a 1991 Cummins 5.9 diesel, turned up fuel, 5 speed trans, two speed rear, also added P/S, P/B.

That Black Mu I mentioned is up for sale here in CH-CH. I try and get a photo of it if I can. It looks mint lowered and on low profiles. Someone have made up a front spoiler for it too, As well as moulded extra wide flares to the guards. There has been some TLC gone into it.
