Postby ThomasT » Sun Aug 26, 2012 12:30 pm

Hi all,
i know this has probably already been asked but...
can anyone help/recomend legal mods for my 1991 isuzu MU... i have so much trouble finding parts when i go to places like "repco, auto1 ect.." they dont seem to have the isuzu anything in there books. help in this area would be great, so i know what to ask for when going in to the store. Also.....

my MU is stock standard and i get bogged terribly everytime, please can people tell me what upgrades i can get thats legal in W.A. Australia, suspenison, lockers, bars, winch, tyres, also how bigger lift can i go? 2" body 3" suspension and 33" tyres, Is this a legal mod?
What bars fit a MU?

i Brought the MU because i have hardly seen any done up for off road,
Thankyou everyone for your replys :)

I run 33's with just a 50mm body lift and air lockers front & rear and can get most places
TF rodeo bars fit the MU

i went to fid out about getting some bodyblocks today, guy at ARB Bunbury said they are ilegal here unless i get an engineers cert, he also said with the aussie dollar so good right now to import parts from the usa, and some other arb guy said, "you'll never get parts for that here, we wont even be able to fit you lockers. you should have brought a patrol." i laughed and walked away whilst saying, "i've already built a gq for nz winch challanges back home, i wanna try something harder to do." i slighlty lied, we built it as a weekend toy and a recovery vehicle for the hilux comp truck my brother built. but anything is possible.
