Rear leaf springs

Where in new zealand or aussie have people got lifted rear leaf springs for a ubs 55, ucs55, need a set for both, efs is the only brand that makes them, or get custom ones made which is the cheapest option at $600 a pair

Try these guys. They are a dealer for Lovells Springs. I enquired about a set of leaf spring for my MU a while back and they could supply them.

Those Lovells springs are great even if they are Aussi made. I have the HD version in the bighorn with 50mm lift. I imagine thats also what you want. They have 5 thin springs instead of the normal 3 thicker ones and just flex brilliantly despite carrying any load you throw at them. Even with the back empty it will polish the bump stops on a quick trip over the Rimitukas and they drop nicely as well.
They have a partial military wrap but they dont have anti friction strips between the leaves so they do squeak when dry
Unless the price is significantly more I would buy them again.

yea they have to be made in christchurch as i said, was trying to buy some off the shelf, 4wd bits have efs leaves but around the same price, not worried about noise mine have worn out the friction strips and half the leafs now, 400,000km does that though

Yeah meant to be 2" but haven't fitted them yet to see. Mines sagged so much it'll prob be an 8" lift!
Can't remember the price but we get a good deal through work, somewhere around $200 each I think. I'll see if I still have the invoice

Interesting note, catalogue for Bellamys lists the HD MU springs as being the same as their Bighorn springs.
Have you ever tried fitting stock Bighorn ones to a MU to see if it raises it?

considering that when I changed my bighorn springs for a 50mm lift it went up 90mm Im not sure I would bother. If you find springs that are already a lifted set on a bighorn though why not. Only catch is the hd springs are too stiff for a Mu. Excellent on a lwb bighorn though

I dont know if this is possible due to eye sizes etc What happens if you install the springs the other way round

The weird thing about that is that its unusual for the diff not to be in the center of the spring
