Slightlydodgy,
Have you noticed the personalised plates on an early Bighorn in a recent post?
Might be just the thing for you.
I think they say "COWS4U"
I think it's in The Shed/New Zealand - Isuzus and parts for sale section.

Back to the subject....
Disconnected front and rear sway bars for last weekend trip to Serpentine and beyond.
Took it easy on the tar seal, noticably roll all round.
Not too pleasant a ride at 50km+ on the rutted gravel of Dunstan Trail. Plenty of 'whiplash'.
Definately used full front articulation on a deeply rutted hill climb - my newly fitted inner CV boot got pulled off - but question whether there was alot to be gained.
Decided to re-connect the front half swaybar. Handling was far better on the rest of the Dunstan.
Rear swaybar stayed disconnected for the whole trip. Definately helped in some of the deeper rutted bogs we came across. Did manage to pop a coil spring out of it's holder (and they're 50mm extended).
Will stick to just disconnecting the rear only in future.

Has anyone else had problems with CV boots or CVs when the front sway bar is disconnected (specifically on MU's)?
Cheers.

At a guess, could be cos of a suspension lift, front arms droping down etc. or maybe the wire band that holds the boots on was not done up enough. or that the boots are to short. When i did the ones on my mu the ones listed were real short boot, so i went for a multi-fit that gave more boot.
Cheers,
Andrew

Just disconnecting the sway bar will not affect anything except the handling of the vechile. These problems will be caused by reasons mentioned above - suspension lift ( under 2" should be fine) cutting the bump stops, or a short cv boot.
