Have to thank isuzurob for this budget mod
2 rear springs from a lwb bighorn at picapart cost $24 Fitted in my swb with 32 inch tyres the measurement at the rear guard went from 870 to a fraction over 890 now have to adjust the front to match along with the obligitory ball joint flip and wheel alignment.
The new springs were the same free length but heavier steel and fewer turns. Shocks were already aftermarket yellow ones (monroe?) and were long enough. Had to take one side of the roll bar off to get enough travel to fit the spring and even then my jack and jack stand were only just long enough to drop the diff that far. (jack under diff till wheel 3 inches in the air wheel off and jack stand under chassis jack dropped to lowest setting still some tension on spring so it would of dropped further) Coils give serious articulation.
Also the top seat was tapered to a nice flat mount on the original springs where the new ones were just plain wire with a step. One or the other must be aftermarket.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
