tfs55 2.8 lift kit

Postby danpowell76 » Fri Jan 30, 2015 5:23 am

Hi everyone, my first post on here, I have a tfs55 2.8 2000 double cab pick up, it's a Belgian import to the UK. I have just bought a 1.5"body lift kit, my truck has factory bull bar and side steps will this affect just jacking it up and swoping them over ?

you can still just lift it up and change the body mounts but the steps and bumpers will be low afterwards and will need modification to get them looking right
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

:D Hi Guys,

I now have my lift kit for my tf55 2.8 and i am struggling to make sense of the kit ! it has 14 spacers ,8 long nuts and bolts and 6 short fine thread nuts n bolts and i'm just not sure which goes where?? I want to lift the back up first, then the cab at a later date as i only have limited time to do it , I could really do with some pictures to show me what goes where before i get going and it all goes tits up !! Maybe even a pdf of the chassis or a manual if poss?

Thank you

Dan

from memory when i had my deck off, the short ones are for the deck and long ones for the cab, you will see when you undo all the bolts, remember you will have to lengthen the fuel filler tube and cut afew cable ties for the tail light wiring
