Are the middle bits removable. For those of us that have extended shackles.

Shackle bolts are fixed to one side but not the other

They look like they are either welded or swaged in. If swaged they might be able to be removed. Other option though would be use the 2 extra front pins. I have known someone that drilled standard bolts and fitted a nipple but he had access to a machine shop beyond the average handyman. I believe hes in Malaysia at present
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

They look ideal but maybe they aren't for those with extended shackles. Self lubing ftw
