can some one please tell me what this is what it does and where i could get the bushes

Its just so the seat belt has a connection to the chasses.
Why does it need new bushers

the rubbers are perished and really soft the bar can be moved easly by hand is this normal ?

Interesting :? I don't have one of those Mine bolt to the cab floor and then I have 2 of theseImage that hold the cab to the chassis (as well as bodymounts :lol: )

Alot of people take them off when doing a body lift so a little bit of movment is not going to worry you.

Thats why mine have uch big loops. Theres one for the tray too and I thought that it was a bit obvious that they were missing

They are there for when you have an accident, that's why they are loose and only work when your in trouble, I extended mine when I had the body lift. I wouldn't recommend removing them.

There should be a bushing in there but its really only to stop it rattling. They realy only get used once in the life of the truck and then only if your unlucky.
If a mechanic has told you to change them something aftermarket will be fine. If not leave them be
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

i will need to do a road worthy soon as i need to change rego from one state to another and i thought i might get failed for the bushes but if there nothing to worry about i should be fine thanks for the help everyone

Mine are in the same state all cracked & looking old, but passed the warrent easy as, i even pointed them out & asked what they were for.
