replace lower control arm bushes

Postby skyna » Sun Apr 08, 2018 8:54 pm

I am going to attempt removing the lower control arm on my Mu, Can anyone give me advise on the best way to attack this job, I have read earlier posts an it is not an easy job but I am going to do it anyway. I have seen what needs to be unbolted but I would like to know is there a order of steps to follow? I have read that the old bushes are seated into the chassis is this correct if so what is the best way to remove them? Cheers

The bolts through the bushes should come out ok which will remove the arm. The bushes require a hydrolic press to get out
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
